Many of you may know him from the various television shows. Recently Rick has become a huge support of mental health issues, more specifically ADHD. We are really looking forward to having him join in the discussions of the day, and to provide us with some entertainment for the day that will be filled with a lot of serious discussion.

Here is a bit more info!

Rick began his career teaching at the Ontario Science Centre. In 1979 he became a full-time comedian with The Frantics comedy troupe. He produced and hosted History Television’s History Bites and was co-creator, co-writer, and, for several seasons, the director of The Red Green Show. Rick portrayed ‘Commander Rick’ on TVO’s series Prisoners of Gravity. He has won Gemini, ACTRA, and educational awards. The University of Waterloo named Rick one of its Top 50 Science Graduates of all time.

Rick’s most recent project, the Global Television documentary ADD & Loving It?! with actor Patrick McKenna, won him the CAMH 2009 Celebrity Transforming Lives award. Response to the film was so powerful it inspired him to develop the web site Totally ADD with his wife Ava Green and renowned ADHD expert Dr. Umesh Jain.

Rick has two university-aged children who are far more mature than he is.
